Gallery of Employees Lecture by Andrea Galiazzo

This lecture was a part of the seminar "Go Big or Go Home? Kunsthåndverk i offentlig rom" that was held by NK in Oslo on December 9th 2021.

Andrea Galiazzo (b. Padova, 1983) lives and works in Oslo. He graduated from IUAV University of Venice in Italy, the Higher Institute of Fine Art in Ghent, Belgium, and Kunsthøyskolen i Oslo. He challenges asymmetric power relations through works in a range of diverse media. His works unsettles the boundaries between categories such as student and teacher, artist and audience, private and public, crafts and conceptual approaches. Lately, he has used storytelling and tapestries as tools to examine the grey area between private circumstances and public discourse. Recently he showed the solo exhibition “In Broad Daylight” at Trondhjem Kunstforening. Group exhibitions include “Drawing. The Bottom Line” at S.M.A.K. (Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunst) in Ghent, «Avskygninger» at Kristiansand Kunsthall and “Human Touch - Tegnetriennalen 2019”. In 2021, he will exhibit at the House of Art and Design in Holstebro, Denmark.
