I come from a volcanic island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The land is young and the landscape can change fast, it can take nature a few seconds to make a new stone. In Norway I found shale (leirskifer). Matter that once was a rock, eroded over time to become clay, and again returned to a stone. Applying a similar force as those appearing in a volcanic process, I high fired the stones in the ceramic kiln. The prosesss transformed the ancient fragments of Norwegian land, one more time.
