Andreassen works within a time consuming process where both hand and mind are present in an almost mediative state. Thin hand rolled coils of clay are placed one on top of the other, forming varied organic forms. Through the countless coils and fingerprints, each thought becomes visible and time is shaped into a physical object. The repetitive structure on the surface of the objects is compressed one by one with a single finger in precise and detailed rows that grow up and out of the clay. The objects are often open and display techniques, methods, cracks and coincidences that have occurred during the process and displays a visible transmission of Andreassen`s interaction with the clay.
