Pouria Kazemi

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Filmmaking from the Manchester School of Art and a Master's degree in Fine Art from the University of Bergen. For the past 12 years, I have practiced fine art, with a primary focus on film and video. In recent years, I've been researching archive to examine how archival material inspires possibilities for storytelling by connecting the factual to the fictive, in light of changes brought about by digital communications and new media. The majority of my films are experimental documentaries and moving images. These films set out to address the relationship between aesthetics and concepts of movement, language and performance.
