Karin Forslund

Karin Forslund (b. 1984) is trained at the National School of Glass in Sweden, holds a BA in Glass from the Royal Danish Academy and an MFA in Glass from Rhode Island School of Design.She lives and works in Haugesund.Forslunds practice looks into ideas of craft, perception and artistic research.Her world and way of making sense of things is circular. Through time she came to realise this as an embodiment of the processes of working with glass.It’s about the ephemeral, about the gathering and layering, about mouldability and the implications of that, about reacting in the moment and about beginnings and endings. Glass-based thinking as language for multidisciplinary creativity.
