I create ceramic compositions by adding one pinch of clay onto another, repeated times. A point that turns into a line that grows upwards, inwards or outwards, as a result of subtle manipulations. Dislocations develop in the work without knowing how it will turn out in the end. Commuting between chaos and control. Repetition, time and self-chosen limitations are key words in my work, and the expression carries traces of the process and the time spent creating them. Within these self-chosen frames, I find the opposite of limitations developing. Instead, I discover limitless opportunities, ideas and a state of concentration, taking me to a perspective where I no longer decide but discover.
