The Norwegian Association for Arts and Crafts (NK) is a membership organization working to promote and support contemporary crafts nationally and internationally. NK currently encompasses 830 professional practicing artists and makers.

NK's main objective is to strengthen the arenas for contemporary crafts and improve the general working conditions for artist and makers. Our strategic areas being:

1) Professional development
2) Policy making
3) Programmes and education
4) Contemporary crafts development and networks.

Initiatives
Norwegian Crafts
Norwegian Crafts aims to strengthen the position of contemporary craft. It facilitates various types of exchange between Norwegian and international craft and design, with special emphasis on exhibitions, fairs, publications and network. Gallery Format Oslo 
Galleri Format in Oslo is owned by NK. The gallery is exhibition and sales venue for works of the finest professional and artistic quality within ceramic, textile, metal, wood and glass.
